Dumpling Festival AKA Duan Wu Jie

Ahh...feel so good bout today's family outing, don't ask me y, maybe is because it had been soo long didn't hang out with my family..hey just bout this morning my family n i went to this event "dumpling festival" at the hall behind the temple. The purpose of this event is to let the next generation to know more bout this festival n to let everyone have fun!

the event is start with opening speech by (73 yr old) organizer ( he told us this was his first time to give speech, he very nervous) 

next is speech by hannah yeoh (at first she conducted her speech with english then cantonese, she told us that she never use cantonese to conduct speech before, and she only use it at home) XD   

 Next, speech by YB Loh Gwo-Burne  (he translated the story of dumpling festival to english just for people who don't know cantonese, but for some reason I don't really get it what he said LOL)

the event was officially starts right after the three VIPs wrapped Bah Zhang (dumpling), Lol, (Mr Gwo-Burne was facing a bit of problem to wrap the dumpling, in the end his mum and my mum teached him how to wrap it correctly)

Next is 'wrap the dumpling competition' (female category) right- is my mum (the rules is very simply all the competitors is given 10 minutes time to wrap 10 dumpling, top 3 who wrap the fastest n nicest win!)

with skills n experience, my mum managed to get 3rd place (well done mum!)

next (male category) wrapping competition, since not many adults want join this competition so all the kids participated, rules is the same. (my big bro left, friend right both struggling to wrap the miserable dumpling)

When i'm done, i carefully teached my friend how to wrap dumpling (since my mum edi taught me how to do during the competition)..  man...to wrap a dumpling seriously not an easy task,  it will drop from the string n burst anytime if u not careful! 

at last after 30 minutes ++  everyone finally finished wrap thier dumpling...one small group picture of  kids participants 

guessss what  I got the 3rd place LOL!!!!!!!!!! (got an ang pau(cash) n one cert from Mr Gwo-Burne)

in the end a hungry old man beats all the hungry beast (tall fella in the picture above) 

after that my family hang out at  pyramid  have our lunch there n also ...

Earth Hour!!

earth hour just passed few minutes ago, everything was so fun! Beside off all the lights n electric appliance, chit chat n hang out with my neighbours at the park, I actually went out for patrol around my housing area, with the security guard of course (glad that he allow me to follow). Both of us have torch light, the only different is I ride a bike while he ride motorbike! Because of the patrol, it makes my one hour passed very fast.

here is some definition of earth hour:
Earth Hour is an international event organised by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), and held on the last Saturday of March each year, which asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.

................................LEO....................................

Alright.. i m finally retired(at least 95%), now let the new LEO incoming BODs to "enjoy" evil laugh.. when I recall back I really need to thanks a person, TZE CHENG, cuss he is the person who ask me to join LEO. Even now i still remember that he told me "join Leo club lah, once u join i guarantee u ll get 100% satisfaction n ll get whole lots of fun" that time I a bit of tak percaya, then he explained(what n what all for charity..), in the end I went for LEO projects. Through the projects I realize this club seriously fun, but not that play computer games that type of fun but u get to help other peoples that type of fun, do the things that u doesn't do before that type of fun (like play with the old folks, organize party n etc). Then from that time ever I started to come for every LEO projects.(hey continue the story ar) As the time passes by, the LEO BODs started to recognize me, they gave me a chance to organize projects n I accepted it. From that time onwards I started to feel busy, stress, pressure n etc but at the same time also enjoy the "busyness" n increase "my friends radius"(number). But now, all the busyness get frm LEO finally over, as my duty as V.P over, all I can do is just recall all the good memories n experiences....a bit of sad but still I never regret decision I made that is "JOIN LEO CLUB" cuss it really made me to become a better person n more mature person not outside but inside, learned a lot of skills (leadership, public speaking n etc), took away a lot of "my first time" LOL.

a LeO's Holiday

just realized that today were edi last day of march holidays, when i recall back there were so many LEO projects(car wash,IR day, Trip to NKF, SPCA, camp, charity bazaar n etc) had been carry out during this holidays, n of course I participated all of them (proud of it..lol) Among all the LEO projects, the one still I enjoyed the most is LEO camp, though is just 2 days, but within it, feels like the gaps between LEO members getting smaller. Unlike other camp, we actually played some random games like sponge game at volleyball court, twister, waterballon war, table talk n etc, but we actually enjoyed it so much...(will upload pics).......On the other hand, i also feels relieve cuss have two little ambitious v.ps gonna be (Emily & Ying^2) going to take over me...lazy to type edi wei..well enjoy your last day of holiday!
